Business overview

The Group is in the foundation-building phase of its medium-term strategy, which focuses on strengthening its mobility business and building a more profitable business structure centered on motorcycle purchasing and reuse. It is pursuing the strategy and building the necessary foundations around three pillars: stronger marketing, a stronger value chain, and business expansion. Under a policy of prioritizing profit growth over revenue growth, the Group is working systematically to improve gross margins, increase inventory turnover, and respond quickly to market fluctuations. It is pursuing higher productivity, improved customer experience, and stronger sales capabilities through employee training, DX initiatives, and more sophisticated use of CRM. In addition to its traditional purchasing and sales activities, the Group is strengthening its maintenance capabilities and building lasting customer relationships through post-sale inspections and repairs. At the beginning of the period, it revamped its corporate philosophy, adopting “Break conventional wisdom and create new value and excitement.” as its corporate philosophy and FIVE DRIVEs (dream, belief, action, courage, and integrity) as its guiding principles. The Group is promoting agile management as the foundation for its day-to-day operations and decision-making. The first year of the medium-term strategy has been positioned as the “foundation-building phase,” and initiatives are being advanced to give concrete form to the three pillars described above. The motorcycle business is the Group’s principal business, while the other segments are not material; accordingly, disclosure of operating results by segment has been omitted.
