The Hakuto Group is a hybrid company combining trading and manufacturing operations, centered on two business areas, electronics and chemicals. Its principal businesses in Japan and overseas are the sale and import/export of electronic components and related equipment, and the manufacture and sale of industrial chemicals. The business classification is identical to the reporting segments and consists of the following 4 segments. Information on sales, profit, assets, liabilities and other items by segment is detailed in the consolidated financial statements and notes. The Group has established a global supply chain through its overseas consolidated subsidiaries. Its principal affiliated companies include Hakuto Enterprises Ltd. (Hong Kong), Hakuto Singapore Pte.Ltd., Hakuto Taiwan Ltd., Hakuto Enterprises (Shanghai) Ltd. and Hakuto(Thailand) Ltd., through which it operates electronic component, electronics and electrical equipment businesses worldwide. The Group consists of 14 consolidated subsidiaries and 1 equity-method affiliate. The core of its chemical business is the manufacture and sale of industrial chemicals and cosmetic ingredients. Its other businesses include solar power generation.
