Change to the Straight-Line Method to Reflect Long-Term Stable Operation of Solar Power Plants

「従来、当社は、有形固定資産（建物（附属設備を除く）及びリース資産を除く）の減価償却方法について定率法を採用しておりましたが、当連結会計年度より定額法に変更しております。」

「従来、当社は、有形固定資産（建物（附属設備を除く）及びリース資産を除く）の減価償却方法について定率法を採用しておりましたが、第１四半期連結会計期間より定額法に変更しております。これにより、従来の方法に比べて、当第３四半期連結累計期間の売上総利益は77百万円、営業利益、経常利益及び税金等調整前四半期純利益はそれぞれ１億９百万円増加しております。」

「これは、当事業年度を初年度とする中期経営計画の策定を契機に、有形固定資産の使用実態を改めて検討したところ、主たる資産である太陽光発電所は長期安定的に稼働し収益に安定的に貢献していくことが見込まれるため、減価償却方法を定率法から定額法に変更することが経済実態をより適切に反映すると判断したことによるものです。これにより、従来の方法に比べて、当第２四半期連結累計期間の売上総利益は51百万円、営業利益、経常利益及び税金等調整前四半期純利益はそれぞれ69百万円増加しております。」

「This change was made because, when we reconsidered how property, plant and equipment are used in connection with the formulation of the medium-term management plan beginning in the current fiscal year, we determined that changing the depreciation method from the declining-balance method to the straight-line method would more appropriately reflect the economic substance, given that the principal assets, the solar power plants, are expected to operate stably over the long term and contribute consistently to earnings. As a result, compared with the previous method, gross profit for the first quarter of the current fiscal year increased by ¥25 million, while operating income, ordinary income, and income before income taxes increased by ¥33 million each.」
