Business overview

TOWA FOOD SERVICE CO., LTD. is primarily engaged in the food-service business, operating directly managed restaurants mainly across the Tokyo metropolitan area, comprising Tokyo and the 3 surrounding prefectures of Kanagawa, Saitama and Chiba, under the management philosophy of “providing safe and enjoyable dining venues for urban life through taste and service,” with the concepts “fun to have” and “affordable luxury.” It also sells its own products, including sauces, pasta, coffee beans, cakes and baked goods, online and at special events. The business comprises a single segment, the Food Service Business, and has no overseas operations. As of 30 April 2026, the company operated 109 directly managed restaurants: 52 Tsubakiya Coffee Group stores, 18 Ducky Duck Group stores, 23 Italian Dining Doma Group stores, 12 Kotegaeshi/Pastakan Group stores, 4 PRONTO stores and 4 other stores. All stores are directly managed, with no franchise operations. External sales channels include e-commerce through the Tsubakiya Online Shop and event sales at department stores and station venues. The company operates external production facilities, including the Totsuka Commissary, Fukagawa Center and Tsubakiya Roaster, and uses central kitchens to reduce in-store preparation time while improving cost control and profitability. The principal production facilities are the Totsuka Commissary in Totsuka-ku, Yokohama; Fukagawa Center in Koto-ku, Tokyo; and Tsubakiya Roaster in Koto-ku, Tokyo. As of April 2026, the company was advancing digital transformation, including the use of central kitchens, achieving real-time cost control, profitability analysis by menu and reductions in inventory waste. Going forward, it aims to balance food-cost ratios with customer satisfaction, reduce procurement risk and stabilize costs by strengthening supplier partnerships, optimizing procurement lots, and incorporating supply-demand forecasts and market analysis into contract negotiations and inventory strategy. Under its Second Medium-Term Management Plan and digital transformation initiatives, the company is promoting data-driven management, monitoring operating indicators by store, format and area in real time, and optimizing menu changes, price revisions and staffing.
