Business overview

The Company’s principal business is the planning and sale of toys for infants and young children. Over the long term, it is pursuing a transformation of its business structure centered on its “curiosity business.” Following the launch of its first product, “1curiosity,” during the interim accounting period from 21 January 2025 to 20 July 2025, it launched the new baby-toy brand “Baby curiosity” during the same period. It released 14 renewed existing products in April and 8 new products in July, bringing the series to 22 products in total. Renewed long-selling products such as “なめられ太郎” and “魔法のラトル” drove word-of-mouth, particularly on social media, and the series got off to a generally strong start in terms of sales. Overseas, the Company is strengthening its strategic collaboration with its UK-based partner to accelerate its expansion in the UK market. With the cooperation of its local partner in Lithuania, it also held a public event for “1curiosity.” For the interim accounting period, revenue was ¥561 million, down 12.1% year on year; operating loss was ¥110 million; ordinary loss was ¥114 million; and an impairment loss of ¥37 million was recorded as an extraordinary loss, resulting in an interim net loss of ¥151 million. Over the medium term, the Company is continuing its strategy of transforming its business structure with a view to medium- and long-term growth, rather than being swayed by short-term market fluctuations, and is maintaining its growth strategy centered on the curiosity business. From the fiscal year ending January 2026 through the fiscal year ending January 2028, it is pursuing a medium-term plan to secure a return to profitability through its three core existing series, “Pitagoras,” “Baby curiosity,” and “やりたい放題.” From 2029 onward, it plans to move into a growth phase focused on enhancing brand development and establishing a unique category centered on curiosity.
