Business overview

The Group operates a single medical products segment, conducting the global research and development, manufacturing, and sale of medical products based on MIT’s self-assembling peptide technology, together with its 7 consolidated subsidiaries. It uses an aqueous solution of RADA16, a 16-residue self-assembling peptide, which promotes gelation and nanofiber formation upon contact with bodily fluids and provides a range of medical functions, including wound healing, hemostasis, and adhesion prevention. Its principal markets are global, including the United States, Europe, and Japan. By region, sales have ranked in the following order: the United States, Europe, Japan, and Other. Its principal development pipeline includes absorbable topical hemostatic agents (TDM-621), mucosal lifting agents (TDM-644), post-procedural bleeding prevention agents, and adhesion prevention agents in the surgical field; wound healing and alveolar bone reconstruction products in the tissue regeneration field; and drug carriers and siRNA delivery systems in the drug delivery system (DDS) field. The Group aims to obtain marketing approval for these products as medical devices and is also promoting licensing arrangements aimed at generating royalty revenue, while preparing for market risks including pharmaceutical and medical device regulations and insurance reimbursement. The Group is a small organization and, against the backdrop of its global operations, is working to recruit and develop personnel and strengthen internal controls.
