Business overview

The business described in this report is centered on the manufacture and sale of prepared foods, kelp products, bean products, yogurt products, dessert products and other products. The Group, including its consolidated subsidiaries, produces mainly at its own factories and manufacturing facilities in Japan and overseas, and has established local production and sales operations in Thailand and Indonesia as part of its overseas expansion. Under its medium-term management plan, the “2025–2027 Medium-Term Management Plan” (covering the fiscal years ending March 2025 through March 2027), the Group has set out a policy of strengthening its core businesses centered on kelp, beans and yogurt, developing adjacent businesses, strengthening operations across the Group and optimizing capital allocation. For fiscal 2025, it plans to strengthen its core businesses while developing and expanding its overseas business platform, and for fiscal 2026, it plans to continue investing in overseas market expansion and human resources. While Japan remains its primary market, the Group plans to pursue overseas expansion strategically and achieve growth by establishing yogurt as its third pillar. As part of its sustainability initiatives, the Group is promoting sustainable management centered on the “Five Healths” framework.
