「The Food Valley Tokachi Promotion Council, comprising local governments, economic organizations and others in the Tokachi region of Hokkaido, has entered into a comprehensive partnership agreement and is conducting research. A pilot plant for extracting and purifying pinitol, a functional sugar found in soybean leaves and stems, was installed at the Tokachi Industrial Promotion Center in Obihiro, and testing began.」
