The business described in this report is the Group’s business, conducted by Sanoh Industrial Co.,Ltd. (the “filing company”) and its subsidiaries, with the manufacture and sale of automotive components as its principal business. The Group comprises the filing company, 31 subsidiaries and 2 affiliates. Its business includes automotive components, namely steel tubes and electrical components, as well as the manufacture and sale of equipment. Steel tubes comprise application-processed products made from various types of tubing, including double-wound and single-wound steel tubes, while electrical components comprise application-processed steel-tube products. The Group has production and sales operations in Japan and overseas, and reports Japan, North and South America, Europe, China and Asia as its reportable segments. Its primary markets are automakers and automotive parts manufacturers in Japan and overseas. While affected by customers’ production trends and the shift to electric vehicles, the Group’s policy is to turn its existing businesses into cash cows and expand new businesses outside the automotive sector.
