Business overview

The Ricoh Group is a comprehensive digital solutions provider with operations spanning development, manufacturing, sales and services in approximately 200 countries and regions worldwide, built on five business segments: Digital Services, Digital Products, Graphic Communications, Industrial Solutions and Other. The Group comprises 229 consolidated subsidiaries and 17 associates. As a business segment, Digital Services is narrowly defined as the areas centered on the Office Services business and sales of office printing products. However, Ricoh states that its concept of being a “digital services company” extends beyond the scope of the Digital Services segment and encompasses the business activities of all segments. Against the backdrop of its global customer base, Digital Services provides sales and maintenance of imaging equipment, including office multifunction printers, printers and scanners, and related consumables, as well as process automation, workplace experience and IT services. Digital Products includes the development, manufacturing and sale of imaging equipment, including office multifunction printers, printers and scanners, including OEM products. Graphic Communications comprises commercial and industrial printing businesses. Industrial Solutions provides thermal paper, labels and functional packaging materials, as well as industrial automation equipment, inspection systems and precision components. Other includes new businesses such as Smart Vision and camera-related businesses. The Group’s sales and service network operates across Japan, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Greater China and Asia, among other regions.
