Business overview

The Group positions two businesses as its principal operations: the Water Environment business, whose main markets are water and sewage systems, sludge recycling and treatment, and biomass utilization facilities; and the Industrial business, whose main markets are industrial infrastructure facilities related to the chemical and life sciences sectors, as well as environmental facilities for treating waste liquids and solid waste, waste gases and wastewater. Businesses outside these areas are classified as Other. The Group comprises 41 consolidated subsidiaries and 15 affiliates. In line with its medium-term management plan (April 2023 to March 2027), it is promoting sustainability management, expanding its business domains and strengthening the Group's earnings power, and improving capital efficiency and enhancing shareholder returns. For the final year of the plan, the fiscal year ending March 2027, the Group has set targets of ¥152 billion in consolidated net sales, ¥11 billion in consolidated operating income and ¥8.5 billion in net income attributable to owners of the parent. Under the medium-term management plan, the Group is working to capture demand for the expansion and renewal of sludge treatment facilities for sewage treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities for water treatment plants and night soil treatment facilities; expand orders for public-private partnership projects utilizing O&M, PFI, DBO, comprehensive O&M and FIT; promote energy generation businesses; and strengthen facilities related to lithium-ion secondary batteries. In October 2023, the Group integrated its domestic water engineering business with JFEエンジニアリング株式会社. In January 2026, it made 東日本エンジニアリング株式会社, which operates water and sewage treatment facilities, a subsidiary, and in April of the same year merged it into 月島ジェイテクノメンテサービス株式会社. Going forward, the Group will continue expanding its business portfolio and strengthening its competitiveness through the implementation of DX initiatives, M&A and alliances.
