Business overview

During the period, the Group primarily operated its childcare support business as its core business. Under the management strategy announced on 14 November 2024 to achieve “2030 Triple Trust,” the Group is pursuing medium- to long-term growth strategies, including stable operation and improved quality of its childcare business, expansion of childcare-related businesses, operational efficiency through use of its ICT infrastructure, stronger human resources strategies, and capital strategies. Global Kids Company Corp. is a consolidated subsidiary of the Group. On 31 July 2025, the Group acquired all shares of Associe Academy and made it a wholly owned subsidiary. Consolidated accounting was based on a deemed acquisition date of 30 September 2025, and the results of Associe Academy and Associe International have been reflected from the current interim consolidated accounting period. As a result, the Group reported revenue of ¥16,868 million, EBITDA of ¥1,197 million, operating profit of ¥724 million, ordinary profit of ¥690 million, and interim net income attributable to owners of the parent of ¥428 million for the current interim consolidated accounting period. In addition to the contribution from the initial consolidation of Associe Academy and Associe International, profit was boosted by increased childcare service promotion subsidies, lower recruitment costs, and an improved personnel expense ratio. Lower ICT costs following the completion of the major investment cycle and improved profitability of the photo sales service also contributed to improved performance.
