Business overview

During the interim consolidated accounting period, the Group continued to develop its business primarily through its information-related operations. Focusing on its HR solutions-related information business and lifestyle-related information business, the Group aims to improve customer spend per transaction and reduce operating costs simultaneously by strengthening its use of digital data, combining its community-based sales network with generative AI and other technologies. The Medium-Term Management Plan (fiscal years 2026–2028) was positioned as beginning in the current fiscal year, and the current period is being treated as a period of "moving away from labor-intensive businesses and transforming into a highly profitable business structure." Specifically, in the HR solutions-related information business, the Group is strengthening its customer success framework for the recruitment management tool "Alpa Connect" to respond to the progress of the digital shift, supporting the establishment of operational processes and broader use. Shigoto Keikaku School is also expanding its new locations, opening Fukuyama School in May during the interim consolidated accounting period. In the foreign personnel business, the Group strengthened its acceptance framework and increased the number of personnel supported by expanding the countries from which personnel are accepted and adding post-entry training locations. In the lifestyle-related information business, the Group continued expanding locations for Ie-zukuri School, opening Onomichi Online School in April and Saijo Online School in June during the interim consolidated accounting period. From the perspective of environmental contribution (GX), the Group recommends high-performance homes with an insulation performance grade of 6 or higher and is working to make homebuilding exceeding ZEH standards the norm. In addition to seminars on insulation, airtightness and energy efficiency, Ie-zukuri School conducts experiential tours at each school to communicate the value of high-performance homes. The Group is also continuing awareness-raising activities aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
