Business overview

During the interim period, the HAMAI Group continued to develop its business primarily through its core valve segment, while its real estate leasing business also generated stable revenue. First-half net sales totaled ¥6,491 million (¥7,634 million for the interim period, as stated in thousands of yen), securing an increase from the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, despite the impact of higher costs resulting from soaring raw material prices and other factors, operating income totaled ¥391 million, an increase from the same period of the previous year. Interim net income was ¥302 million, also up year on year. By segment, sales in the valve business were approximately ¥7.34 billion, and operating income exceeded ¥20 million, both increasing from the same period of the previous year. Notes: Rental income in the real estate leasing business was broadly at the same level as in the same period of the previous year, while operating income increased.
