Business overview

The Group is an integrated plastics manufacturer whose principal businesses are the manufacture and sale of semiconductor-related materials, high-performance plastics, and quality-of-life-related products. As of 31 March 2026, its business operations comprised the Group itself, 48 subsidiaries, and 5 affiliates, and its businesses are organized into 3 segments. The Group is pursuing higher value-added products and serves a broad range of markets, including semiconductors, automotive, medical, building materials, electronics, and packaging. As part of its long-term strategy, it is implementing the Medium-Term Management Plan 2024–26 and has established its vision for 2030. Its financial targets include a backcasting-based goal of achieving business profit on the scale of ¥50 billion. The Group is optimizing its overseas production footprint and strengthening its global supply network. In fiscal 2025, it acquired the polycarbonate business from AGC Inc. and AGC Polycarbonate Co., Ltd., and in fiscal 2026 it decided to assume part of the chemical business of KYOCERA CORPORATION. From a sustainability perspective, the Group is advancing initiatives including increasing the proportion of products that contribute to the SDGs, reducing greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 + 2) and supply-chain emissions, and introducing a carbon price.
