Business overview

Nippon Felt comprises Nippon Felt Co., Ltd. and five affiliated companies, for a total of six group companies. Its principal businesses are the Felt Business, centered on the manufacture and sale of felts for paper and pulp production and industrial felts, and the real estate leasing business. Its main products are paper and pulp felts and industrial felts, and the group also has operations outside Japan. Under its medium-term management plan for fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2028, the company targets operating income of at least ¥470 million, ROE of at least 4.0%, and DOE of at least 2.5% in fiscal 2028. Even as demand for felts in Japan is expected to decline, the company plans to improve profitability by reducing its cost ratio, expand its share of the domestic market, and grow its overseas markets. It is also pursuing lower energy consumption in papermaking machines through wire development, stronger collaboration among group companies in Taiwan and India, and higher productivity through advanced equipment. As part of its shareholder-return policy, the company plans to continue making proactive dividend payments and purchasing treasury shares.
