Business overview

The ASTI Group’s principal businesses are the manufacture and sale of automotive electrical components, consumer equipment and wire harnesses, as well as the development of new products. Through a structure that includes its consolidated subsidiaries, the Group operates in Japan and overseas. In Japan, it manufactures and sells automotive electrical components, consumer equipment and wire harnesses, primarily from its base in Hamamatsu. Overseas, it has established manufacturing and sales bases mainly in India, Vietnam, China and the Philippines. In response to the shift toward EVs and the growth of the Indian market, the Group is strengthening production capacity in overseas markets and moving its internally developed products into mass production. It has adopted VISION2030 as its medium-term plan for the fiscal year ending March 2026, with priority areas including expanding its operations in India, developing EV-related components, strengthening wire harnesses for motorcycles and outboard motors, and developing and selling medical-related products. The Group is also promoting the conversion of its Hamamatsu Plant to zero emissions by installing solar power generation facilities and procuring electricity generated from renewable energy sources.
