Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Automotive electrical components: higher sales, mainly due to increased demand in India's four-wheeler market. Consumer and industrial equipment: lower sales, mainly of telecommunications switch units. Wiring harnesses: lower sales following the withdrawal from the business serving China's EV market, along with a decrease in withdrawal-related losses. Other: lower sales of medical-related products. Overall, the substantial decline in sales of consumer and industrial equipment and higher material costs resulting from the weaker yen pushed down operating income, while ordinary income increased due to foreign exchange gains arising from the yen's further depreciation and other factors.
