Business overview

During the interim consolidated accounting period, the Group operated across a diverse range of business segments, including disaster prevention and construction, fittings, automotive and robotics, and nursing care. Revenue was ¥16,275 million, operating profit was ¥3,564 million, ordinary profit was ¥3,482 million, and interim net profit attributable to owners of the parent was ¥2,374 million. Compared with the same period of the previous year, revenue increased 29.5%, operating profit increased 85.7%, ordinary profit increased 75.4%, and interim net profit increased 79.1%, resulting in higher revenue and profits. By segment, the fittings business posted substantial increases in revenue and profit, supported by overseas market expansion and firm sales of highly profitable vacuum equipment in the domestic market. The disaster prevention and construction business reported lower revenue and profit, mainly due to a reactionary decline in sales related to projects for advanced semiconductor factories in Hokkaido. The automotive and robotics business reported higher revenue and profit on increased orders from major customers, while the nursing care business reported higher revenue and profit due to increased sales from welfare equipment rentals and cost reductions resulting from the progression of asset depreciation. The other business, real estate leasing, showed no material change in performance. Among the main points of note, overseas sales during the period exceeded the level recorded in the same period of the previous year, while sales of highly profitable vacuum equipment continued to perform well in the domestic market. On the other hand, a reactionary decline was seen in sales related to projects for advanced semiconductor factories in Hokkaido.
