Business overview
During the interim consolidated accounting period, the Group developed and sold cloud services for corporate customers. Its main services included the cloud-based Safety Confirmation Service, designed to enable easy information sharing during emergencies; kintone Integration Services, cloud services that provide greater convenience through integration with kintone, Cybozu,Inc.'s business application development platform; and NotePM, a cloud-based knowledge management tool for centrally managing business manuals and know-how. The Group also offered Toyokumo Scheduler, a scheduler based on a new concept that enables internal schedule management and coordination of appointments with external parties, as well as Business Packages that use SaaS to enable low-cost system development and more efficient operations for projects that previously used BPO services. Demand in Japan's cloud market has been increasing as risk management and business continuity planning awareness has risen following the Great East Japan Earthquake, and as remote work and other practices have spread amid the expansion of COVID-19 infections. IT infrastructure investment is expected to increase with the spread of digital transformation, data-driven businesses and generative AI. The market for IT investment by private-sector companies in Japan is forecast to be approximately ¥15.82 trillion in fiscal 2024 and approximately ¥17.93 trillion in fiscal 2027.
As a result, revenue for the interim consolidated accounting period was ¥2,932 million, EBITDA was ¥1,377 million, operating profit was ¥1,246 million, ordinary profit was ¥1,250 million, and interim net income attributable to owners of the parent was ¥824 million. As the Group operates in a single reportable segment, the corporate cloud services business, segment information has been omitted.
