Business overview

In the fiscal year under review, the Group comprised the Company, 28 consolidated subsidiaries, 7 non-consolidated subsidiaries and 1 equity-method affiliate, and operated across a broad range of businesses, including consumer products, industrial products, and financial and other businesses. The Group operates in multiple areas centered on three segments: consumer products, industrial products, and financial and other businesses. A major business transformation in its history was the withdrawal from and downsizing of coal-related operations, followed by portfolio restructuring centered on M&A. Under these policies, the Group will continue implementing Medium-Term Management Plan 2030 from the fiscal year ending March 2027 onward.
