Sojitz Corporation is entering India's logistics business for semiconductor-related materials and will build a dedicated logistics warehouse for a new plant being constructed by Tata Group. It plans to handle the import, storage and logistics of the materials on an integrated basis.
Sojitz Corporation is expanding into India's logistics business for semiconductor-related materials. It is expected to invest several billion yen to build a dedicated logistics warehouse near a new plant being constructed by major conglomerate Tata Group.
The new warehouse will be located near the semiconductor plant and will provide integrated operations for the import, storage and logistics of the materials. The facility is also reportedly expected to include a temperature-controlled warehouse for hazardous materials and storage facilities for toxic gases.
By working with NRS, which operates a chemicals logistics business, Sojitz aims to capture growth in the market supported by the Indian government's semiconductor promotion policies.
