FUJIFILM Holdings will invest approximately ¥13 billion to build a semiconductor materials plant in India and advance cooperation with Tata Electronics, a Tata Group company. It will provide technical support to local materials manufacturers and establish a local production structure.
FUJIFILM Holdings announced that it will invest approximately ₹8 billion, or around ¥13 billion, to build a semiconductor materials plant in India. Its partner will be Tata Electronics, a subsidiary of the local conglomerate Tata Group.
The two companies signed a memorandum of partnership on plant construction in May 2025. Fujifilm will provide technical support to local materials manufacturers to promote semiconductor materials production and establish a local structure covering everything from materials procurement to manufacturing.
The move is seen as aimed at strengthening the production network against the backdrop of India’s emerging semiconductor industry.
