SBI Holdings and Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings have reached a basic agreement on a strategic business alliance in the entertainment sector. They will establish a joint venture to create a structure for advancing the planning, development and investment of original IP for global markets.
The newly established joint venture will combine Yoshimoto Kogyo’s IP assets and video production capabilities with the SBI Group’s capital and financial technology, handling everything from IP development through fundraising and diversified expansion on an integrated basis. It also aims to create fundraising methods using a security token platform.
For funding, the venture will use the ¥100 billion-scale “SBI Neo Content Fund” and apply its expertise in on-chain finance to fundraising in the IP and content sectors, with the aim of building new business models.
