SBI Holdings has agreed to enter into a strategic business partnership with Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings and announced plans to establish a jointly funded company within fiscal 2026. The company will promote the overseas export of content using the intellectual property held by Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings.
The new jointly funded company will produce programmes and other content suited to overseas markets and develop them in line with the needs of local markets.
For fundraising and distribution, the companies are considering a framework that uses digital securities based on blockchain technology, known as security tokens, to raise and distribute the funds needed for content production.
Yoshimoto Kogyo Holdings is expected to invest as an investor in the ¥100 billion-scale content fund that SBI Holdings is currently arranging. Through collaboration with companies invested in by the fund and companies partnered with SBI, it aims to create business opportunities.
