Oracle Corporation Japan is collaborating with OpenAI to accelerate enterprise AI automation, expanding initiatives to strengthen security and automate application development around Oracle AI Workspace, a new environment designed for business use.
As of 2026, the enterprise AI market is shifting from question-and-answer systems to AI agents that autonomously perform business operations, while Oracle is promoting cloud infrastructure enhancements and AI adoption. Globally, AWS holds the leading market share, while Azure and Google Cloud are also strengthening their AI agent capabilities. Oracle plans to integrate its databases and ERP systems with OpenAI models and offer AI solutions closely tied to practical business operations.
At the core is the new Oracle AI Workspace, an environment that integrates OpenAI models with Oracle applications, enterprise data and cloud services. Through ChatGPT plugins, users can execute approved workflows and retrieve information. The target products include major offerings such as Oracle Fusion Applications and Oracle NetSuite. The system is designed to support users by combining the appropriate tools and information based simply on their business objectives.
In the security field, Oracle will provide Oracle AI Security Mesh as a managed service to enable the early detection and remediation of vulnerabilities. In application development, Oracle App Composer and Codex will be used to make it possible to build applications for solving business challenges without specialised expertise. Support for APEXlang will also combine the speed of generative AI development with secure operations.
For small and medium-sized businesses, Oracle will offer Oracle AI SMB Bundle in a form that allows free initial use and will provide USD 12,000 in annual cloud credits. By packaging ChatGPT Business and the NetSuite platform, the company aims to establish an AI-enabled environment from the first day of a business’s operations. Going forward, the automation of complex knowledge work and the development of autonomous security defences are expected to affect corporate competitiveness.
