The new Impreza for North America has been announced, with a two-grade lineup comprising the Base and RS. The entry-level Base is positioned as a more affordable option, while the RS is scheduled to launch with enhanced refinement and driving performance.
On 24 September, Subaru in North America announced the new Impreza as a 2027 model. The lineup will comprise two grades, Base and RS.
Power comes from an updated 2.5-liter horizontally opposed engine (SUBARU BOXER), while Symmetrical AWD is standard on all models. The transmission is a Lineartronic CVT, with 8-speed manual mode selectable via the paddle shifters.
Cargo space is approximately 578L with the rear seats in use, expanding to a maximum of approximately 1,586L when they are folded.
The Base grade comes standard with dark gray 17-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlamps, dual-zone air conditioning and a dual multimedia system with two 7.0-inch displays. The RS features 18-inch aluminum wheels, Crystal Black Silica paint and an 11.6-inch portrait-oriented display, adding to its refinement and equipment levels.
The vehicle is scheduled to arrive at Subaru dealerships in North America in the second half of 2026 and will be assembled at Subaru's Gunma plant in Japan.
(The Base will be priced at approximately ¥3,868,671, while the RS will start at approximately ¥4,639,416.)
