Nissan implemented minor changes to the Fairlady Z and Fairlady Z NISMO on 27 August and began sales the same day. The VR30DDTT engine is now fitted across the range, and prices for each model have also been announced.
The exterior sees the return of a Z-themed front emblem and a newly designed front bumper. The revisions emphasize the long-nose, short-deck proportions and create a low, wide stance. Newly adopted forged aluminum wheels feature machined geometric patterns around the rims.
Inside, tan upholstery is offered by grade, while the opening sequence on the 12.3-inch full-color LCD instrument display has been changed to show silhouettes of past models. On the chassis side, large-diameter monotube shock absorbers have been adopted, increasing the pressure-receiving area by 26.6% over the previous model, with the stated aim of improving road holding and ride comfort.
The NISMO gains a 6-speed manual transmission, along with a dedicated short-throw shifter, optimized engine control, two drive modes, Standard and Sport, and a newly added Traction mode. The brake discs and chassis settings have been revised to improve cornering performance. Five NISMO-exclusive colors are available, while the interior combines leather and Alcantara.
New equipment includes a Qi2-compliant wireless charger. A chamber has been added to the fuel tank to stabilize fuel delivery under high-G conditions, and a collision damage mitigation braking system has been newly adopted. Prices start at ¥5,737,600 for the Fairlady Z, with the Fairlady Z Version ST priced at ¥6,999,300 and the NISMO at ¥9,752,600, among others.
When a special paint color is selected, an additional ¥49,500 or more is added to the vehicle price for the NISMO.
