Sony has announced the new Xperia 10 VIII globally. Its key features include a new translucent design and a function that provides quick access to payment apps.
The Xperia 10 VIII is the latest model in the Xperia 10 series. It retains the previous model's design approach while adopting a “Translucent Layer” concept that refreshes the materials and colors. The company highlighted translucent materials designed to reduce the visual prominence of the camera area, along with three frosted color options.
The 5,000mAh battery is designed to last around 2 days. The phone is said to retain 80% capacity after 1,480 charging cycles, and comes with 6 years of security updates and 4 OS version upgrades.
Point & Pay provides quick access to payment apps. Users can open registered payment or points apps by pressing the power button twice. Up to 24 apps can be registered, with support for switching between 3 tabs.
The 6.1-inch display supports refresh rates of up to 120Hz and features automatic color adjustment to improve visibility outdoors. The phone uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, with durability also taken into consideration.
