ユナイテッドアローズ and GMO AI&ロボティクス商事 jointly developed original wear for humanoid robots and will begin taking pre-orders for 4 items, including a jacket, for Unitree's G1 at 18:00 on 20 October.
ユナイテッドアローズ and GMO AI&ロボティクス商事 jointly developed wear for humanoid robots. The applicable model is Unitree's G1, with 4 items available: a jacket, trousers, T-shirt and scarf. Designers and robotics engineers tested the robot's range of motion and heat dissipation on the actual unit, with the aim of combining functionality and appearance.
The concepts are "unisex" and "uniform." The garments are designed to prevent interference with the joints and gears, and omit the lining as a heat-management measure. Light gray was selected to match the robot's metallic finish.
The official shop's sales page is scheduled to go live on 20 November, and sales at in-person events such as pop-ups are also under consideration. Going forward, the companies aim to enhance the fashion appeal of humanoid robots for use in practical settings.
This initiative is ユナイテッドアローズ' first attempt to develop wear for humanoid robots, with the aim of creating a point of contact between robots and people. The applicable model is Unitree's G1, and pre-orders are scheduled to begin at 18:00 on 20 October.
