UNITED ARROWS, a TABAYA Holdings group company, announced that it had jointly developed original apparel for humanoids with GMO AI & Robotics Trading (GMO AIR). UNITED ARROWS designers and GMO AIR robotics engineers worked together on the project, which began accepting inquiries through GMO AIR's inquiry form on 20 October.
The apparel features an original design that takes the humanoid robot's movement and silhouette into account, and consists of four items: a jacket, pants, T-shirt and scarf. The design avoids interference with joints and gears while pursuing a balance that looks attractive as clothing; it also omits the lining for heat management and adopts a light-gray color.
Development included testing sizing, range of motion and heat dissipation based on the differences between human and robotic body structures. The design incorporated a fashion perspective while examining an actual unit, with a view to social adoption. As part of GMO AIR's initiatives, the dedicated apparel is scheduled to go on sale on GMO Humanoid.shop and at in-person events.
