Apple has begun Japanese-language support for its redesigned Health app, adding AI-powered health analysis and at-home exercise assessment. It has also introduced the Longevity long-term metrics and Health Age displays. The latest devices and supported operating systems are required to use the features.
On 4 November, Apple expanded the language support for its redesigned Health app, making it available in multiple languages, including Japanese. New features include Insights, which integrates daily data, and Longevity, which analyzes long-term health.
The Insights tab displays data on heart health, sleep, readiness, fitness, vitals and cycle tracking, while For You provides advice based on individual habits. Longevity allows users to check long-term metrics across 7 areas and their Health Age, and can also import clinical test data such as HbA1c and LDL.
A new at-home exercise assessment feature uses an iPhone camera and Apple Watch to measure flexibility, strength, balance, movement and VO2max. Processing is completed on the device, and video recordings are not saved or shared.
The feature will become available on 3 November in the iOS 27.3 developer beta, with a public free software update planned by year-end. Availability varies by country and language, and Apple Watch is required to use Health Age.
