Rohto Pharmaceutical has signed a strategic partnership with OASES under the Hong Kong Government's strategic enterprise partner programme. This will be the first step in expanding its health and longevity business across Asia from Hong Kong.
Rohto Pharmaceutical has entered into a strategic partnership with the Hong Kong Government's Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprise (OASES) and signed an agreement as a strategic enterprise partner. The partnership reflects the recognition given to the expertise the company has developed in healthcare and medical fields, as well as its efforts to create long-term value in Asia.
The programme supports selected companies in establishing and expanding their businesses in Hong Kong, with the aim of developing the city as an innovation hub for Asia. It began in 2022, and more than 140 companies have been accredited to date. This is the first such partnership involving a Japanese company.
Rohto has used its local subsidiary, Rohto Advanced Research Hong Kong Limited (ARHK), to promote clinical research, development and regulatory approvals in regenerative medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology and orthopaedics, as well as medical devices. Going forward, it plans to extend this expertise into the healthcare sector and create value across Asia from Hong Kong.
