クラダシ is working with Japan Post to develop frozen home-delivered meals, promoting them and accepting orders at post office counters. The new post chef lineup includes one-plate meals with 1 main dish and 2–3 side dishes, as well as side-dish pouches.
クラダシ entered into a capital and business alliance with Japan Post last August, establishing a framework for jointly promoting sales of frozen home-delivered meals. At a new product presentation held in Tokyo, the company announced plans to promote the products through Japan Post’s post office counter network.
The launched “post chef (ポストシェフ)” brand offers one-plate meals combining 1 main dish with 2–3 side dishes, as well as side-dish pouches. The one-plate meals are designed with reference levels for salt, protein and dietary fiber, with consideration given to nutritional balance.
Japan Post has established a promotion and order-taking framework using its network of 24,000 post office counters nationwide. It expects to support cash and cashless payments at counters and accept orders through its e-commerce site, while deepening employees’ understanding of the products and promoting sales through tasting opportunities for post office staff.
The two companies share a policy of using post offices as local infrastructure to expand sales channels for frozen home-delivered meals. They are expected to strengthen their ability to meet customer needs by expanding the range of products that can be proposed at post office counters.
