ZENRIN will exhibit at Tourism EXPO Japan 2026, showcasing tourism DX solutions and focusing on the features and track record of its STLOCAL tourism app, while also presenting reference exhibits including support for local events. The exhibition will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from 24 to 27 September.
ZENRIN will exhibit at Tourism EXPO Japan 2026, outlining its aim to promote travel around local areas and expand tourism spending by introducing map-based tourism DX solutions. Under the theme “Maps hold the key to community development: ZENRIN will further strengthen local communities through tourism DX,” the company will primarily showcase solutions for local governments and regional businesses.
The main exhibit will be STLOCAL, a tourism app equipped with tourism information, electronic ticket sales and digital stamp rally functions. It is currently available across 18 areas in 7 prefectures in Kyushu, with approximately 160,000 cumulative downloads and a track record of approximately 90,000 electronic tickets sold. ZENRIN will provide the travel-around data obtained through the app to local governments and businesses, supporting the development of tourism initiatives through data utilization.
The company will also introduce LOCAYELL (provisional name), a web service supporting local events, as a reference exhibit, along with features including Abiru Mode, a map for visualizing intangible tourism resources. NORAN, a public rideshare and dispatch app designed to address areas with limited public transportation, is also scheduled to be exhibited. A seminar will discuss the potential of local tourism using tourism data and map technology.
The seminar will be held from 14:30 to 16:00 on 25 September in the Seminar Room in East Hall 8, with speakers from ZENRIN and other relevant government and private-sector organizations scheduled to participate.
