ZENRIN will showcase collaborative applications combining geospatial information and AI at CEATEC 2026. Exhibits will include KUMATREM, a traffic-volume visualization service, a dynamic risk map, and RoadManager, an AI-powered road-damage detection service.
ZENRIN will exhibit at the LBMA Pavilion within CEATEC 2026, showcasing collaborative solutions that combine highly accurate geospatial information with partner companies’ data and AI technologies. The exhibits will present concrete examples of data-driven approaches to challenges including visualizing disaster risks and improving the efficiency of infrastructure maintenance.
The first exhibit is KUMATREM, a traffic-volume visualization service. Developed through collaboration with ITS Japan and others, the initiative analyzes and visualizes changes in traffic volumes before and after the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake in a single environment by combining ZENRIN’s road data with vehicle-travel data and congestion information.
The second is the dynamic risk map, which integrates building risks with time-specific pedestrian-flow data to visualize changes over time in personal injury risks that are difficult to capture through conventional static assessments. The verification is being conducted in collaboration with GeoTechnologies, using privacy-protected anonymized data.
The third is RoadManager, an AI-powered road-damage detection service. AI automatically detects road damage from images captured by a smartphone installed in a patrol vehicle, and the damage is managed on map data together with its location information. The service is being developed in collaboration with UrbanX Technologies. A presentation session is also scheduled.
