ZIPAIR will introduce BlueWX’s AI turbulence prediction into MTI’s aviation weather service 3DARVI from 8 October. The prediction can be checked during flight and combined with existing weather information to assess turbulence risk and support operational decisions.
BlueWX’s AI turbulence prediction will be integrated into MTI’s aviation weather service 3DARVI, and ZIPAIR will begin operations with it on 8 October.
BlueWX’s AI turbulence prediction service forecasts the risk of turbulence by using deep learning to analyse numerical weather forecasts, observation data and aircraft data. It will be used in combination with 3DARVI’s weather information.
ZIPAIR pilots will be able to check 3DARVI’s turbulence predictions from the cockpit during flight. By using them together with existing weather and aviation information in operational decisions, pilots will be able to assess turbulence risk in a timely manner.
Through the collaboration, the 3 companies aim to enhance operational decision-making and support safe air operations. BlueWX will advance and refine its predictions, while MTI will enhance 3DARVI’s functionality and expand its rollout.
