Sony has announced a new Xperia product presentation for 25 August 2026, and a device believed to be the Xperia 10 VIII has been listed on Geekbench with indications that it may use the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 as the current Xperia 10 VII. Sony has announced that it will premiere a new Xperia product on its official YouTube channel from 11:00 a.m. on 25 August 2026, with the announcement of a new model believed to be the Xperia 10 VIII scheduled for that time. The current Xperia 10 VII was announced in September 2025 and launched in Japan in October, suggesting that the new model may follow a similar schedule.
A device registered on Geekbench as XQ-GH54 lists “SM6475” in the CPU field, indicating the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 used in the current Xperia 10 VII, suggesting that the 10 VIII may use a comparable chip configuration. There have also been reports of cases in which listing information was reflected in the retail device.
The listing indicates the equivalent of 8GB of RAM, and the physical capacity is believed to be 8GB. The new model is expected to retain the same capacity as the current device, while details such as 4K resolution and other specifications are expected to be disclosed at the announcement.
The configuration and pricing for the Japanese version will be finalized at the announcement on 25 August. As for changes from the Xperia 10 VII, given that the SoC is the same, the initial CPU/GPU design may be similar to that of the current model, and some observers expect comparable performance.
