サイバーステップHD has reached a basic agreement with China’s 信華信技術 and DIRECT CHINA to jointly develop an AI call center for the Japanese market. The pilot is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with the companies working to optimize Japanese voice quality and establish a framework for domestic deployment.
サイバーステップホールディングス has signed a memorandum of understanding with 信華信技術股份有限公司 and DIRECT CHINA Co., Ltd. to jointly develop and commercially roll out an AI call center service. The three companies will pursue a strategic business partnership targeting the Japanese market.
The partnership is driven by demand for more efficient customer support as generative AI and voice recognition technology advance. Meeting Japan-specific requirements, including Japanese voice quality, infrastructure compatibility and personal information protection, is a key priority. 信華信 will provide infrastructure such as AI voice chat and use NAXA’s AI voice technology to optimize Japanese-language quality. DIRECT CHINA will support sales and rollout in Japan.
The pilot is scheduled to begin in October 2026 and will assess the suitability of functions including AI-powered outbound calling, intent determination and operator coordination. Demonstrating Japanese-language quality and establishing a path to monetization will be the key focus going forward.
The service could help address challenges faced by domestic companies, including labor shortages and the need to standardize service quality, and is expected to be rolled out across a broad range of sectors, including municipalities, financial services and telecommunications. However, the memorandum does not confirm the execution of a definitive agreement or the launch of the service, and the plans may change depending on future discussions.
