Casio is launching the GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 analog watches as new G-SHOCK models. Featuring a design that retains the functional beauty of the DW-5000C, the watches will go on sale nationwide from 7 November.
Casio Computer announced the GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 analog models as new G-SHOCK products, with sales beginning on 7 November at G-SHOCK retailers nationwide and the official online store. The new exterior retains the square form of the original DW-5000C while carrying forward its functional beauty.
The watches use metal for the bezel. The GMC-2500 uses resin for the bezel and case, while the GAC-2500 uses resin for the bezel and band. The window at 3 o’clock features Multi Mission Date, which displays the date and elapsed time measured by the stopwatch, among other information. Despite being fully analog, the watches provide a full auto-calendar.
The seconds hand at 9 o’clock features a seconds-hand sleep function that can be freely switched between stopped and running. The design allows the seconds hand to be stopped as desired to extend battery life. The watches will be sold at prices ranging from approximately ¥29,000 to around ¥49,500.
