Kasumigaseki Capital, together with its Malaysia-based subsidiary and JLG Capital, has signed a basic agreement covering the development of frozen automated warehouses and the exploration of business opportunities in low-temperature logistics infrastructure. The scope is expected to include general temperature-controlled logistics, not only frozen and refrigerated storage.
Kasumigaseki Capital announced on 2 October 2026 that its subsidiary KASUMIGASEKI CAPITAL (MALAYSIA) and Malaysia-based real estate and infrastructure development company JLG Capital had signed a basic agreement aimed at developing frozen automated warehouses locally and creating opportunities in low-temperature logistics infrastructure. The scope is expected to include general temperature-controlled logistics, not only frozen and refrigerated storage, and the companies will proceed with discussions toward developing specific plans.
The two companies plan to consider providing a local development platform, securing sites and supporting fundraising by combining the low-temperature logistics infrastructure and automated warehouse operating expertise accumulated by the Kasumigaseki Capital Group with JLG Capital's real estate investment and development expertise and knowledge of the local market.
As part of the collaboration, Kasumigaseki Capital Malaysia will provide expertise in project planning and design, frozen automated warehouse development, and leasing and warehouse operations. JLG Capital is expected to use its knowledge of the local market to provide a development platform for giving concrete form to business opportunities, as well as coordinate with relevant parties and support fundraising.
The two companies also plan to discuss the potential for a joint venture involving the investment, development, ownership and operation of logistics and warehouse facilities, including frozen and refrigerated warehouses and frozen automated warehouses. They are also considering using strategic growth platforms such as JS-SEZ.
