Keiwa formulated its FY2025-FY2028 medium-term management plan and announced that, following its withdrawal from the Earth's Band-Aid business, it aims to achieve CSV through the provision of high quality. Its targets are revenue of ¥27.0 billion, operating profit of ¥5.9 billion, ROIC of 13.5%, and ROE of 12.9%. The company expects a CAGR of 9.4% for the optical products business and 6.9% for the functional products business. Before deducting common costs, it aims for high operating profit margins of 44.0% for optical products and 41.3% for functional products.
The four priority measures are strengthening human capital, improving labor productivity, front-loading, and developing overseas bases. The company plans to cultivate core development and manufacturing technologies at domestic sites through on-the-job training. It aims to use data from manufacturing operations to facilitate AI-based correlation analysis and improve yields and on-time delivery.
As part of its overseas expansion, against the backdrop of a China Plus One strategy, Keiwa established a representative office in Hanoi, Vietnam, in December 2025 and plans to launch not only logistics but also production and processing bases during the fiscal year ending December 2026. While rigorously assessing local partner companies, it will handle the core technologies of sheeting, laminating, and coating with domestic equipment, with the aim of eventually establishing a structure capable of supporting its functional product portfolio as well.
In marketing, the company is strengthening relationships with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in Europe and North America. It plans to open or register bases in Detroit in April 2026 and Frankfurt in May, and to intensify local information gathering and proposal activities. Activity related to automotive displays is increasing in Detroit, North America, and relationships with customers are being strengthened through exhibition participation and customer visits at the European and North American bases.
