Rokid has announced its new AI glasses, “Rokid Ai Glasses Style,” for the Japanese market. The glasses feature a lightweight design weighing approximately 38.5g and an open AI ecosystem powered by ChatGPT and Gemini.
Rokid held an online launch event to formally announce its new product for the Japanese market, “Rokid Ai Glasses Style.” The glasses do not include a display and feature a lightweight design weighing approximately 38.5g, allowing them to be worn for extended periods in a range of everyday situations.
The product features a 12MP Sony IMX681 camera, open-ear audio and real-time translation, enabling voice-based AI inquiries and awareness of the surrounding environment. The retail price is ¥64,990 including tax, and the glasses will be sold through Rokid’s official online shop in Japan.
The event also outlined the company’s localization strategy for Japan, including the YodaOS operating system, AIUI, a global AI agent development platform, a policy of storing data domestically, privacy protection and the Creator Program.
Rokid also explained plans to expand the AI ecosystem for Japan, including the integration of ChatGPT and Gemini into an open AI ecosystem, the number of languages supported for online translation and related accessories.
