Toyota has unveiled the Snowhunter family through its North American entity. The five-vehicle concept group comprises the Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Land Cruiser and Sequoia, each specially modified with equipment and styling for winter driving. Each vehicle features a design intended for snow-cleared roads and styling led by Calty Design Research.
On 27 October, Toyota’s North American entity announced the Snowhunter family. The five models, the Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Land Cruiser and Sequoia, have been customized for driving through deep snow, making use of their body-on-frame construction. Winter performance and expedition capability are the central themes, with design led by Calty Design Research.
Each concept vehicle shares common elements, including Snowhunter-specific camouflage and badges, gloss-black accents and white powder coating. They also use crawlers for driving on snow, Rigid lighting, genuine parts and TRD lift-related components.
The Tundra Snowhunter Concept is intended to function as a mobile base camp, combining a Trail Lift Pro rack system, rear billet control arms and additional adventure lighting. A movable top rack improves the ability to load large gear.
The Tacoma Snowhunter Concept emphasizes agility. It has a trail-focused design with a roof rack, awning, cargo storage, towing and recovery equipment, and bed lighting.
