This article highlights the key facts about the partially updated Toyota minivan Noah S-Z, including the consolidation of its engine lineup, interior improvements and the test vehicle's pricing.
The Noah S-Z announced a partial update on 10 April 2026 and went on sale on 6 May of the same year. The update discontinued gasoline-powered vehicles, except Welcab models, leaving hybrid vehicles as the only option, and reorganized the grade lineup. The top 3 grades are now the S-Z, S-G and S-X.
The test vehicle was equipped with a 2ZR-FXE 1.8-liter inline-four engine, an electrically controlled continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive (2WD). The vehicle price was ¥4,056,800. Adding ¥701,250 for manufacturer options and other items brought the total to ¥4,758,050.
The exterior is characterized by a large grille and slim headlamps. The 2026 update changed the design so that the plated sections on the left and right match the body color. The vehicle measures 4695mm in length, 1730mm in width and 1925mm in height, with a design that creates a cohesive appearance through black-painted window frames.
The interior is primarily black and newly features a 12.3-inch liquid-crystal meter. The center section has an air-conditioning control panel with physical switches, while storage around the driver's seat has also been improved. The second row has 2 captain's chairs, and the third-row seats can be folded with one-touch operation.
The rear seats can be accessed through the space between the second-row captain's chairs. Practical features such as a center table between the second-row seats and Type-C charging ports were also highlighted. The vehicle is equipped with universal steps and large assist grips to facilitate entry and exit.
