In terms of the scale of the expansion, production of MUF encapsulation materials is expected to double, while production of granules is expected to triple. The expansion is described as a response to growing demand driven by higher performance and miniaturization of semiconductor devices.
The report says the plan will be pursued simultaneously at sites in China and Singapore and is part of an effort to strengthen the global supply chain.
