FLIGHT SOLUTIONS Inc. announced plans to collaborate with KYOCERA Corporation to roll out a new model of the tablet version of Tapion on a KYOCERA device. The new model will be built into DIGNO®Tab2 5G and will support express mode for transit IC cards.
FLIGHT SOLUTIONS Inc. announced a technology collaboration with KYOCERA Corporation on payment functions using tablets for corporate customers, and the launch of a new tablet version of “Tapion.” The new model will be built into KYOCERA Corporation’s corporate tablet, “DIGNO®Tab2 5G,” enabling payments with transit IC cards that support express mode.
The new model is intended to reduce the advance steps required of users, an issue with the previous Tapion tablet, and streamline payment processing at restaurants and employee cafeterias during lunch hours. Stability and durability as a payment terminal, as well as continued product availability, are also priorities, with operations envisaged to meet on-site needs.
Going forward, the company plans to acquire new customers, particularly restaurants seeking to introduce cashless payments, while continuing to support customers currently using the previous model.
The rollout of Tapion through the collaboration with KYOCERA Corporation is attracting attention as an initiative aimed at improving convenience at payment sites. Future developments are expected to draw further interest.
