フライトソリューションズ announced a technology collaboration to install a new tablet version of Tapion on KYOCERA CORPORATION’s DIGNO Tab2 5G series of enterprise tablets. The tablets support express mode for transit IC cards, enabling smoother payment processing.
フライトソリューションズ has disclosed that it is collaborating with KYOCERA CORPORATION to install and roll out the tablet version of Tapion on KYOCERA CORPORATION’s DIGNO Tab2 5G series of enterprise tablets. The new model supports express mode for transit IC cards.
With previous Tapion tablets, payment required operations such as turning on the screen and launching the wallet, which could cause queues. The new model uses express mode to reduce the actions users must perform in advance, with the aim of streamlining payments when many users converge in a short period, such as during the lunch rush.
To implement express mode, the model makes use of the characteristics of KYOCERA CORPORATION terminals developed using its enterprise-device technology and certified as M-class devices in testing that verifies the communications performance and compatibility of FeliCa-enabled equipment. Durability and the support structure were also factors in the evaluation.
Going forward, the company aims to acquire new customers, primarily among restaurants, while continuing to support customers that remain on the previous model. The rollout of Tapion tablets is expected to expand, with adoption envisaged in settings where stable on-site operation and rapid payment processing are priorities.
