On 14 October 2026, FLIGHT SOLUTIONS Inc. announced the new payment terminal "Tapion for Tablets," built on KYOCERA CORPORATION's "DIGNO Tab2 5G" tablet. Support for Express Mode will speed up payments during periods of congestion at stores.
FLIGHT SOLUTIONS Inc. announced that, in collaboration with KYOCERA CORPORATION, it will roll out "Tapion for Tablets," a new payment solution using the "DIGNO Tab2 5G" series of business-use 5G tablets. The solution supports Express Mode for transit IC cards, allowing payments to be completed while the lock screen remains displayed.
One feature of the new model is its support for Express Mode for transit IC cards. Users can simply hold their card or device over the terminal to complete a payment, without having to operate their smartphone or open their wallet, which is expected to help reduce queues at points of service.
The selected terminal has obtained M-class certification in testing of FeliCa communication performance and compatibility. On the hardware side, it offers water resistance, dust resistance, drop resistance and alcohol-disinfection compatibility, and is designed for continued use in demanding environments where oil and water may be present.
FLIGHT SOLUTIONS Inc. plans to roll out the model primarily to restaurants and other businesses seeking to introduce cashless payments. It will continue supporting customers using its previous models and promote adoption in settings where automated and faster payment processing is required.
