ほくほく FG fell after opening higher, and the stock continued to decline despite the company raising its first-half and full-year earnings forecasts for the fiscal year ending March 2027. Buying emerged immediately after the open, but selling prevailed amid deteriorating market conditions.
ほくほく FG (8377) fell to ¥724.4, down ¥7.5 from the previous day, in trading on 6 November 2026, marking its third consecutive decline. It fell as low as ¥721.3 in the latter part of the morning session.
That evening, the company announced upward revisions to its consolidated ordinary profit forecasts for the first half and full year of the fiscal year ending March 2027. The first-half forecast was raised from ¥45.0 billion to ¥59.5 billion, while the full-year forecast was raised from ¥89.0 billion to ¥108.5 billion.
The increases reflected solid deposits and lending, upside in net interest income including income from securities, and lower-than-expected credit costs. The dividend plan was also raised to ¥9.50 each for the interim and year-end dividends, for an annual dividend of ¥19.
Following the stock split, the combined interim and year-end dividends will total ¥19, representing an expected annual increase of ¥8 from the previous fiscal year. Buying on a positive view emerged immediately after the open, but selling subsequently prevailed due to deteriorating market conditions.
